Reena had traveled from Toronto to Montreal to surprise me for my birthday. I had no idea she could make it. It totally throws me off. The next day, I can't stop laughing as she walks in.

The performance-choreographic project Elapse I & II was a duplicate birthday party event (for my 30th birthday) held in my studio in Montreal. Guests/participants were invited to join me for wine, sushi, and cake on the condition they return the following day and attempt to re-enact what they said, did, ate, drank the day before. Guests were asked to enter and exit the event at the same time on both days.
