A little boy enters Elapse I in a grumpy mood. Upon entering Elapse II, he asks his mother if he has to be in a bad mood again. She says it’s the rules, and so he slumps his shoulders and hangs his head low.

The performance-choreographic project Elapse I & II was a duplicate birthday party event (for my 30th birthday) held in my studio in Montreal. Guests/participants were invited to join me for wine, sushi, and cake on the condition they return the following day and attempt to re-enact what they said, did, ate, drank the day before. Guests were asked to enter and exit the event at the same time on both days.
